Sex Chat for Christian Wives

5 years ago, when I first hit publish, I never dreamed I’d be learning words like pop filter, boom stand, and Libsyn.  I had visions of one day speaking into a microphone on stage, not in my closet!  I never anticipated sitting around a virtual kitchen table through Skype.  It’s a delight to laugh with my some of my best girlfriends who happen to be marriage and intimacy bloggers.  We also are mindful to tackle serious issues, too, with concern (listen to our, “50 Shades,” episode).  Not just anyone is comfortable enough to say the word “orgasm” out loud.

I remember the first time I ever jumped on a trampoline.  It was exhilarating and frightening all at the same time.  As I tried to go as high as possible, a wave of fear washed over me.  What if I go too high and lose control? I could end up breaking my neck!  It takes time to learn balance and control.  (Oh, and that reminds me, you can check out our episode on, “Sex and Exercise.”)

Trampoline jumping is a bit like leaping into podcasting.  It is exhilarating and there are a lot of things we are trying to learn to control while letting the Holy Spirit lead.  All in all, it’s been a frustratingly delightful experience.

What we have going for us is chemistry and content.  If you listen, you’ll hear how we like each other.  Each of our perspectives is just different enough that if you don’t relate to me, you may relate to one of the other three.  I may be prejudiced, but our content is fun, insightful, and do-able!  Our episodes, “Getting in the Mood,”  “Stress and Sex,” or “Positions” are examples.

What we are learning to control is our sound quality.  If you listen, you’ll probably notice we have some sound issues.  We are quite aware of it and have been actively taking measures.  It seems men take more issue with our sound quality where women are listening around it and hearing our content.  Just another example of how our sexes are different by nature.  For another example, listen to, “Female Sexual Response.”

We’ve been buying equipment.  With each recording, we add one more piece of sound & recording technology.  We each have a professional microphone now.  We each have sound canceling headphones, Hindenburg recording software, and sound proofing of some kind in our offices.  I’ve permanently moved into my closet to record (all those winter clothes I’ll never wear are now my soundproofing material).

Hopefully, you’ll hear the quality improve soon.  J and Chris have been working feverishly to figure it all out.  They are our sound engineers.  (I am the webmaster and Gaye is the pinterest master.)

So, I humbly ask for your patience.  If you like our blogs, I assure you, you will like what we have to say on our bi-monthly podcast, Sex Chat for Christian Wives.  A new episode airs every other Tuesday so you can schedule us into your calendar (Oh!  That reminds me, check out, “Sex Scheduling.”)

I cannot end without giving a huge thank you to Married Dance who graciously donated a professional, high-end microphone to me.  Married Dance is a Christian Friendly Sex-Toy Store.  They are tasteful and discerning.  They are OysterBed7 approved.  (I don’t think microphones are a part of their normal inventory even if they are shaped a little like a vibrator 😊 .)

Listen for our upcoming episode on, “Sex Toys,” to discover the difference between sex toys and marital aids and whether or not each of us think sex toys are okay in your marital lovemaking
